put in simple words, vector graphics is NOT free form digital drawing. the concept uses a series of straight lines, curves and shapes to bring a picture into perspective. on the other hand, raster graphic is an array of pixels which together form an image but it gets distorted on scaling.
scaling has no effect on a vector file and the quality will look the same on a business card as it will on a billboard.
i employ graphic for both iPad and mac. here’s a front view of my iPod shuffle i created using the software. needless to say, the software is fun to use and with all the tools available in its repertoire it’s a breeze to bring the thoughts alive.
i use procreate for raster graphics. more about it in the next post.
